    Hi tkd, I wonder if the item container for the newly selected item in the updated collection has not yet been generated? Is ItemContainerGenerator.ContainerFromItem() returning a ListBoxItem? As a test, you might try BeginInvoke() on your routine that calls CenterChild() to invoke the operation at Background...
